I build AI systems that can see, reason, and act.

I’m Di Feng, an AI research scientist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Currently, I build foundation models and AI agents at Apple, as part of the Apple Foundation Models core team. Previously, I worked on autonomous driving and visual perception.

I grew up in Kunming, the Spring City in southwestern China. Life then took me from Shanghai to Stuttgart and Munich, Germany, where I spent a decade enjoying the European way of life. Now, I am beginning a new adventure in the Bay Area.

Outside of research, I love nature, hiking, reading, and solitude, drawn to simplicity and quiet places.
